JJD Sports is bringing a brand new Elite 9th-Grade High School Prep Camp to the young athletes of Kansas!  We will be bringing our top coaches to this camp, and all positions will be limited to 10-15 players per position. This will allow us to focus on individualized instruction, and provide the best possible training to prepare these athletes for high school football. We will be incorporating film study sessions for each position, as well as 7on7 games and combine prep work.

Methodology

    The primary goal of this camp is to provide next-level individualized instruction to help incoming 9th graders prepare for their first year of high school football!

  • Space will be limited to 10-15 players based on position to allow for ultimate individual instruction.

  • Combine preparation.

  • Campers will be wearing helmets and shoulder pads, and there will be limited contact to prepare for their season.

Position Breakdown

    The JJD “Elite” 9th Grade Camp is meant to be an “Elite” experience for those in attendance. We are going to take everything to the next-level to get our young athletes prepared for high school football. In order to do that, we’re limiting each position to a set number of players. Please see below for the limits, and once they’re full we’ll start a waiting list.

  • All overnight campers and instructors will stay in the dormitories at Ottawa University during camp, and have full access to all the fantastic facilities on campus.

  • There will be two athletes per room, and if your son has a roommate preference be sure to list it on your application. Roommate requests are guaranteed until July 1st, after that the roommates are locked so make sure whoever you request for a roommate has also signed up for camp.

  • There will be no changes the day of check-in at camp.  All meals during the week of camp will take place at the cafeteria.

  • Day campers will eat lunch along w/ the overnight campers during camp, and remain at the college during the lunch period.  Breakfast and dinner will not be provided for day campers, but they will be allowed to rejoin the other campers for any evening activity that generally begins around 7pm.

Cost

Camper Options:

The camp fee covers housing for 3 days and 2 nights in the dorms at Ottawa University with 24/7 adult and law enforcement supervision; all meals during the athlete’s stay at camp; and other evening activities during the week, such as film sessions, 7on7 and combine prep work. Each athlete will also receive a camp t-shirt, and individualized work with a top-notch coach for the duration of camp due to our restrictions per position. The JJD Elite camp will truly be an “Elite” experience for these young athletes entering high school!

This fee covers all of the same items except housing, dinner and the bonding experience w/ other athletes during the overnight experience.  Lunches ARE covered.  Day campers get dropped off at 8:45am and picked up at 4:45pm, but are invited to come back and participate in the evening activities usually starting at 7pm.

$65 (If needed) / $80 if changed after June 1st, or added during week of camp. There are no refunds on equipment rental for absolutely any reason within two weeks of camp. Rental equipment covers practice jersey, shoulder pads and helmet.  The fee is for all of the equipment no matter what is needed, there is no a la carte pricing.

  • 7:00pm-Evening Activity (Day campers are allowed to come to event)

Equipment

Each athlete is responsible for bringing their own equipment (full football gear, including fitted mouthpiece). If athletes are not able to use their high school’s equipment, they can rent the equipment at camp for an extra $60 (before July 1st). Please note on your application if you plan to rent equipment. Equipment rental includes helmet, shoulder pads, and a practice jersey.  Equipment rental is one price no matter how many items are needed, there is no a la carte pricing. If you sign up as not needing equipment, and switch to needing equipment after July 1st or at registration, the cost goes to $75.

In addition, each overnight camper should bring a towel, t-shirts, shorts, football shoes, tennis shoes, sheets and pillows for twin beds, alarm clock, trash bag and anything else needed for a two night stay.  Athletes may also bring spending money to have in case of incidentals.  If you have any questions feel free to contact us at info@jjdsports.com.
